The Greater Comfort Area
Chamber of Commerce Mission Statement:
2010 has begun full of
promise, good will and a hope of prosperity for all.
Through the desire, interest and commitment of several local
businesses a new organization has begun this month. Founded on
the premise of promoting the communities of Center Point, Comfort,
Sisterdale, Waring and Welfare. The Greater Comfort Area
Chamber opened in January 2010 with a strong belief that many other
local businesses, organizations and individuals who share our goals
will join us in promoting the area economically as well as civically.
Built on the
premise that we can make a difference in our approach to building
better relationships between businesses/individuals and helping
our communities succeed in the coming years as never before.
The GOAL OF The Greater
Area Comfort Chamber of Commerce is to promote the business
interests of Center Point, Comfort, Sisterdale, Waring and Welfare.
We will accomplish this goal by heavily promoting area
businesses with a strong internet presence that will showcase our
members prominently to the outside area, as well as other multiple
media sources to bring buyers to your business. Also, working
within our community to bring locals together to share knowledge of
local services and products, thereby advancing and promoting
the well-being of commerce, industry, agriculture, ranching,
education, artistic and civic interest, resulting in a
continually improving quality of life.
Method to accomplish our
goals:

Membership that is invited and encouraged to actively
attend and participate in board meetings to bring new ideas to all. |

Media releases of member events using all avenues of print, radio, internet and,
whenever possible, local TV. |

Highly promoted interactive Internet site with your

Regular scheduled Mixers to bring
the community together to share ideas and network |

Local events such as Large Mutton / Beef / Cabrito / Pork BBQ
with a Bake off judged by a well known food critic or
celebrity chef. Plus other events as our members bring
their ideas forth. |
